The City of Sanibel Vegetation Committee will offer a guided native plant tour of City Hall grounds, which have been planted solely with native plants, on Wednesday, December 3rd, and Wednesday, December 17th, 2008.

This month’s “Out to Lunch Bunch” excursion, social dining with friends and neighbors, will travel to the tropical Fort Myers Restaurant Bahama Breeze in Fort Myers, Tuesday, December 2nd.

Sanibel City Hall offices will be closed in observance of Thanksgiving on Thursday & Friday, November 27 & 28, 2008. The offices will resume regular hours on Monday, December 1, 2008.

There is room for you to join the popular strength stabilization ball fitness course being offered at the Sanibel Recreation Center every Tuesday at 4:15 pm and Thursdays at 5:30 pm.

2009 Sanibel Beach Parking Permits are now available for purchase 8 to 5, Monday through Friday, at the Sanibel Police Department, 800 Dunlop Road.

Volunteer opportunities at the Sanibel Recreation Center are available in a variety of areas including conducting facility tours, assisting with fun Special Events and sharing your areas of expertise with the youngsters in the After-School programs.
